Galleries, restaurants, shops and studios in downtown Medford unveil new exhibits, host art demonstrations and more from 5 to 8 p.m. the third Friday of every month. The art walk celebrates all that downtown has to offer — shopping, dining, art and culture — and new experiences are offered each month. American Trails: The gallery, located in the Columbia Hotel, 250 E. Main St., Ashland, features art and crafts of the indigenous peoples in North and South America. The gallery will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Sunday. See americantrails.com or call 541-482-2553.

Art & Soul Ashland: The gallery features paintings in a variety of mediums and styles by local and regional artists. Art & Soul Ashland, located at 247 E. Art du Jour Gallery: See exhibits by local artists in myriad mediums such as watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, pen-and-ink, Conté crayon, collage, sculpture, photography, mixed media and more. Running throughout the month of August, see the group exhibit, “Summertime,” featuring artist’s interpretation of the summer season; the Salon Gallery will showcase the work of local watercolor artist, Marianne Nielsen. The gallery, located at 213 E. Main St., Medford, will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays. Art Presence Art Center: The gallery, which features work in a variety of mediums by local artists is located at 206 N. Fifth St., Jacksonville, and will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays. See abstract watercolors by featured guest artist Lynda Hoffman Snodgrass, on display through Sept. 11. The Main Gallery will exhibit new work by member artists in a variety of mediums including watercolor, photography, oil and sculpture. Ashland Art Works: The gallery features work of local artists in a variety of mediums, including ceramics, woodwork, fiber arts, jewelry, and garden art. Metal sculptures by Bonnie Morgan and ceramic sculptures by Cheryl Kempner will be on exhibit throughout the month of August. The art collective, at 291 Oak St., Ashland, will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays and Sundays. Fiber Arts Collective: See the work of approximately 30 fiber artisans at 37 N. Third St., Ashland. Exhibits include sewing, dyeing, knitting, crocheting, embroidering and felting to binding, collaging, painting, printing, stenciling, beading and creating assemblage pieces. The August featured artist, Jay Gordon, will showcase sea life prints in the exhibit “Sea and Sky.” The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Gallerie Karon: The gallery, located at 300 E. Main St., Ashland, features vintage textiles and jewelry, antiques, art and furnishings. Showing throughout August, the exhibit “The Female of the Species,” will feature artwork by over twenty different female artists in a wide variety of mediums. Grants Pass Museum of Art: The museum, located upstairs, at 229 S. W. G St., Grants Pass, features work by local and regional artists. See hand-stitched fiber work by Susan Burnes and multimedia sculptures by Janet Higgins, the gallery’s featured artists, through Sept. 23. The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, and by appointment. Admission to the museum is free. The retail gallery, Gallery One, located at street-level of the museum, features the work of approximately 60 local artists. Hanson Howard Gallery: The gallery, located at 89 Oak St., Ashland, features works in an array of mediums including painting, sculpture, ceramics and fine art prints. See vibrant and explorative paintings by Randall David Tipton and inventive multimedia sculptures by John and Robin Gumaelius, on display through Sept. 10. Rogue Gallery & Art Center: The gallery, featuring work by local artists, at 40 S. Bartlett St., Medford, will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. See paintings by Linda Boutacoff, Pam Haunschild, and Eve Margo Withrow in the exhibit “Nature’s Tapestry,” on display in the Main Gallery through Sept. 23.
